- Team -
Fly’s always taken its own and somewhat untraditional path, we create innovative bikes and parts helping people think outside the box, to think of possibilities and inspire for the pure enjoyment of the riding experience. The same goes for our riders, we’ve chosen a team of visionaries, riders not just thinking about the “now”, the latest trick or what’s trendy, but having a longer term understanding of what BMX should be, whether that’s style, or just the simplicity of riding but ultimately its about fun and sustainability of the sport we love.Trips, to us aren’t too much different, just an extension of the brand and the team, we try to create something a little out of the norm, but also capture the essence of what bike riding is all about to us, our vision of fun with friends, traveling, searching, riding original and untouched spots, and in some instances creating our own.
- Sergio Layos -
Sergio’s one of the hardest working riders in BMX, hands down, he travels & does more than the majority of the pros out there today, & all with a big appreciative smile on his face. He knows how lucky he is to be riding a bike for a living & reps the brands that make it happen for him to the max.
- Stefan Lantschner -
With the swagger of a true Italian, Stefan brings his style game everywhere he goes. Stefan treats his bike like its his motorcycle pushing himself to the limit, whipping it & going a little harder.
- Devon Smillie -
Devon definitely comes across as the loud obnoxious American, but with his friendly demeanor & the common language of BMX, its hard not to love him, he just has this positive fun loving personality that’s infectious.
- Courage Adams -
Each generation of rider seems to start at a higher level than the previous, skipping basic steps, the fundamentals of what’s needed and moving straight to the popular tricks of “today” knowingly or unknowingly to fit in. Riders come along once in a while that “get it”, Courage captures the essence of what Flybikes is, much like the product we produce he has a classic view on riding while still progressing faster than the majority of riders out there, all from a pure love of being on his bike and respecting of his peers.
- Shane Weston -
Shane his love for bike riding & sense of humor is the common tie & what breaks down any language or geographical barriers. His personality is as big as his hair, & matched only by his love for bike throwing & basketball. His unique approach to riding sets him apart from the crowd.
- Matt Roe -
Matt’s like a giddy little excited kid. He has the energy of a 7 year old with the happy go lucky personality to match. He rides non-stop, especially when he’s trying to pull something, it’s just back-to-back to back until he pulls the intended trick. Matt has a style all his own & is something that has to be experienced first hand to appreciate.
- Rubén Alcántara -
Ruben, with his down to earth & somewhat relaxed personality, it’s kinda easy to forget his legend & what he brings to the game. Being around & riding with him is unique. Most riders tend to show the whole range of their riding ability, but with Ruben, he likes to pick one thing to do & do it until he gets his fill, which doesn’t make sense to many & may take months or even years until something else catches his fancy, by that time the rest of the sport is only just now starting to do what he did years ago.
